Vintage Bhujki | Sindhi Embroidered Dowry Bag, Envelope | Rare Find - No.15
This vintage hand embroidered dowry bag known as a Bhujki is traditionally made as part of a bridal trousseau for transporting clothes and jewellery to their marital home, but also used to store prayer books. Hand embroidered from cotton, it features metallic and wool embroidery with ‘shisha’ mirror-work.
1970’s or earlier - Despite its age, it remains in good condition.
